how did i get an FI light?
So about a month ago i went home for summer vacation and left my bike at college, yesterday i went to turn on my bike and my battery was dead. Since it has already been 9 months since ive been riding and the battery was never replaced before that i thought why not just go out and buy a new battery. so i went to the dealer and got myself a new battery. I came home and swapped out my battery (which was such a pita btw), and then proceeded to hit the starter. The bike was in neutral, the kick stand was up and i was sure that i had reconnected every single wire that was connected to the battery and definetly made sure that i did disconnect anything i wasnt supposed to. When i hit the starter, the bike cranked and wouldnt turn over. I looked over at the cluster and the FI light was blinking. It would blink once, pause, blink twice, pause, and blink 3 times and do it again and again as long as the bike was on. The other thing was that my bike usually makes a noise when i turn my key to the on position which is what im assuming the bike priming the fuel injectors*. The only electronics my 2008 cbr has are a scorpio alarm system, two brothers fuel controller, and red led lighting. The only mechanical upgrades i really have is a full two brother V.A.L.E. exhaust, driven sprocket and chain. does anyone know what my issue is, cause i just cant seem to figure it out?

With gsxr, FI light maybe caused by set valve / exhaust valve. with stock or slip on, bike uses the on/off switch. But with aftermarket full exhaust, bike doesn't need it. So normally when you install full system, you remove them or at least disconnect the cable so it will remain open all the time. So if you haven't remove it, that might be causing it. Or bike might have some electrical short somewhere.

Can you double check the blinking? It doesn't seem right. A long pause is a a "10" and a short blink is a "1". So it seems you have two faults but the last one isn't in the service manual. For a reference to the FI faults check out this thread

how has the world become so evil ?
It turns out nothing was wrong with my bike. The shop stripped the whole thing down and couldn't find anything. When one of the mechanics who wasn't working on my bike came over and looked at he immedietly noticed that there some wires cut right where the fuel injectors were. They ffigured out they were the reason I was getting an FI light. So I'm guessing while I was at home away from my bike I guess someone thought it would be funny to cut all of the wiring. A**holes. I don't get why someone would do that to another belongings. Anyways it cost 350 for 4 hours of work for something that could've been a ten min fix.did get my oil changed for free in the process, except I had to pay for the oil...
