2006 RR Idle Problem... =/
My bike idles at exactly 1000RPM and stalls when I downshift or whenever I am pulling in the clutch to downshift or come to a stop at a red light.
Ive tried searching this site/Google to find a solution or raise the Idle,but some people say these RR's dont have manual adjustment, some say just 07+ have ECU driven...and im so confused. IDK.
Its a 2006 Cbr 600 RR.
With 2500 miles. I didnt think this would be a problem.

Yeah I don't think these bikes have a manual adjustment for the idle. So when you start the bike up and after it warms up it will idle at 1K then you pull in the clutch and it dies? I guess I am confused if it dies when you downshift or pull in the clutch at a red light how do you know what it idles at.

yeah there is a idle adjustment. it looks like a round *** attavhed to a cord coming from the left side i believe.you def can adjust it. make sure its warmed up first though

I guess I should have been more descriptive.
I start the bike and warms up and idles at about 1200/1300rpm.
Then once warm,drops to 1000rpm and wont go lower but still runs.
I can go a for a ride with no problem but once in a while during a downshift (like coming to a stop sign or red light) it will drop below 1000rpm when i pull in the clutch and die.
I tried twisting the little idle **** on the left side when warm, but nothing happens. can anyone help?

I felt like it was gonna break...
and there was NO change in idle with turning in both directions...but this was my fix

If you have tried to adjust your idle **** and nothing happens, no effect on the RPM then i think this is your solution to that problem.
This happened to my 01 f4i and i figured out why it does not work when i turned the idle adjustment ****.
1. The way the **** works is when you turn it (clock wise), it gets screwed in and it pushes to open a flap on the wax unit and raises the RPM.
2. If you turn it (counter clock) wise, it gets unscrewed and closes the flap on the wax unit which lowers the RPM.
3. Here is how to make the **** work. because you have turned the **** sooo far back, it came loose and no longer pushing the flap. It has no affect.
**Now turn the **** (clock wise) until you think it is very tight. At this point you may think it's as tight as you can go. Let me tell that you are not even close.
**The trick is at this point the idle screw is now just hitting against the flat, that's why it's getting very tight to turn the ****. NOW.. keep on turning the **** (clock wise) and soon you will see the RPM rise. THAT IS IT....!!!
I figured this out by taking off the complete air box and watch how the wax unit work and where the idle screw goes into. I watched as i turned the ****
until the RPM rise.
